2019-2020 Tuition Information
Introduction:The 2019-20 Registration and Tuition policies are provided below. Parents are encouraged to read these policies closely and register students as soon as possible. Please be aware that registration opens for current SPA families on Monday, May 13, 2019 to families in good standing. Beginning the morning of Tuesday, May 28, 2019, seats will be given on a first come first served basis. Enrollment can only be reserved by submitting a completed registration form and paying the registration fee (sitting entrance test and paying application fee if applicable). Re-enrollment for current students is not automatic, therefore students with outstanding tuition accounts will not be able to register until all past due accounts have been cleared.
ENROLLMENT CAPS: One way SPA ensures school effectiveness and quality education is its small class sizes. SPA believes small class sizes in the early grades will help students achieve because there is a greater opportunity for individual interaction between student and teacher in a small class.

I. Application Fee for new students (New Student Fee):A non-refundable application fee of $150.00 is charged upon the initial enrollment of a new student to SPA regardless of date of entry. Application fees will not be charged for students continuing their enrollment in successive years unless the student withdraws or is dismissed and then re-enrolls at a later time. Current students whose registration fees are not paid by June 30, 2019, will be considered withdrawn and will need to pay the $150.00 non-refundable application fee to be re-enrolled for the upcoming school year; provided space is still available. Therefore it is very important that parents review the following policies and the Registration Agreement and Student Enrollment Contract.
II. Registration Fees for all students:Parents are required to pay registration fees for all children attending South Pacific Academy each year they attend. A non-refundable registration fee of $400.00is charged to all students regardless of date of entry.
III. Tuition Payment Plans and Schedules:Tuition is $3200.00 for students in 9ththrough 12th; $2800.00 for students in 5ththrough 8th; $2600.00 for students in K3-4th. Payment of tuition fees must be made according to one of the four plans described in section IV below. Tuition may be prorated based on date of entry.
IV. Payment Plans and Schedules:Tuition is payable in one of four ways:
Plan A: Annual payment plan (payment in full by 8/1/19)
Plan B: Semi-Annual Installment plan (ITR fee 8/1/19, 1stInstallment 8/1/19, 2ndInstallment 1/2/20)
Plan C: Quarterly Installment plan (ITR fee 8/1/19, quarterly installments 8/1/19, 10/1/19, 1/2/20, 3/1/20)
Plan D: Monthly Installment plan (ITR fee 8/1/19, tuition due on the 1stof each month Sept. – Apr.)
Tuition Installment Fee (ITR):South Pacific Academy has many expenses. In order to plan and maintain these services over the entire year, it is essential that the annual income from fees be assured. Students are therefore enrolled for the entire school year or such portion as may remain after the date of entrance, and no reduction or remission of fees can be allowed by SPA for absence, withdrawl, or dismissal. As a convenience to parents, SPA makes available semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly installment plans through its inclusion of the Tuition Installment Fee (ITR). PAYMENT OF THE ITR FEE IS REQUIRED OF ALL PARENTS WHO CHOOSE PAYMENT PLANS B, C, or D REGARDLESS OF DATE OF ENTRY AS DESCRIBED. THIS FEE IS OPTIONAL FOR ALL PARENTS WHO CHOOSE PLAN A; HOWEVER, ONLY PARENTS WHO HAVE PAID THE ITR FEE WILL BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND OR REMISSION OF TUITION CHARGESFOR ANY QUARTERS OF THE SCHOOL YEAR FOLLOWING THAT QUARTER IN WHICH THE CHILD’S ATTENDANCE IS DISCONTINUED. In order for the child to be eligible for a refund or remission of charges for the following quarters tuition fees, the family must notify the school in writing of the child’s intent to discontinue schooling before the beginning of the quarter for which the refund is requested.
Plan A: Annual payment plan (ITR fee of $100.00 is optional and is due upon payment of tuition)
Plan B: Semi-Annual Installment plan (ITR fee of $150.00 is due on 8/1/19)
Plan C: Quarterly Installment plan (ITR fee of $250.00 is due on 8/1/19)
Plan D: Monthly Installment Plan (ITR fee of $250.00 is due on 8/1/19)

V. Late Fees and Miscellaneous Charges:
A late fee will be applied for each tuition account for which payment is not paid by the due dates as follows:
Payment made 16-30 days late $15.00 Payment made 31-45 days late $30.00
Payment made 46-60 days late $45.00 Any account over 60 days shall result in the dismissal of the child.
A $30.00 fee, plus any additional bank fees assessed as a result, will be charged to all checks returned due to insufficient funds.
VI. Change of Payment Plan: Changing Payment Plans over the school year is strongly discouraged; however if the need to change plans arises during the school year, a new contract will need to be signed, a $25.00 processing fee will need to be paid and all additional fees of the new plan will be applied.
